- Houston - Melvin Hildebrandt, Linbeck Group, LLC vice chairman, has been elected to serve as a board member of Trelligence, Inc., a building information modeling software development company. He also serves on Linbeck’s board of directors and is past president of the Houston chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Mel has been instrumental in creating Linbeck’s TeamBuild® process and automating it through development and investment in Trelligence’s building modeling tool, Trelligence Affinity™, a software solution that adds the programming model into the processes of planning, designing and constructing a building, and provides a platform for communicating the requirements of a building project between an owner and the project team.
By investing in Trelligence as a strategic partner, Linbeck is streamlining its course for the future. This is not simply a financial arrangement; Linbeck is an active customer, providing valuable insight and feedback into the product direction. “We are very pleased to have Linbeck as a committed partner and look forward to a continued strategic relationship,” says Carole Kernohan, Trelligence vice president of business development.
“We are excited about this opportunity,” says Hildebrandt. “At Linbeck, we made a commitment to the Trelligence solution very early in its development because we saw the enormous value of having a tool that is flexible enough for our specific project development process we call TeamBuild. We see tremendous potential for Affinity to enable real collaboration among all members of a project team—bringing efficiencies, speed and cost savings to us, to the architects and to the project owners.”
Linbeck continues to stand out as a leader in the construction industry, keeping ahead of the curve by assimilating BIM tools into the TeamBuild process and bringing clients better value. Although project information has been digitized for some time now, it was not integrated into one comprehensive software package until the introduction of Affinity. Affinity fast forwards the BIM model into the pre-design stage delivering time and cost savings and more owner-driven and cost-effective project outcomes. This aspect is unique from the traditional BIM applications currently available on the market.
